To mark National Reconciliation Week, the Hardie Grant Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) committee has put together a list of resources to help celebrate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture and identity.

This year’s theme for National Reconciliation Week, In This Together, feels particularly poignant considering the current social distancing measures implemented in Australia. The theme explores ways that we can strengthen the relationships between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and non-Indigenous peoples. Reconciliation Australia’s vision for reconciliation is based on five points of measurement: historical acceptance, race relations, equality and equity, and institutional integrity and unity.

  • The Quicky (Mamamia) Season 2, Episode 228 – ‘Three Things Indigenous Australians Want the Government to Do.’
  • Speaking Out (ABC Radio) – Politics, arts and culture from a range of Indigenous perspectives.
  • Pretty for an Aboriginal (Buzzfeed) – Nakkiah Lui and Miranda Tapsell have the conversations Australia is uncomfortable having.
