Lee Bacon grew up in College Station, Texas and first began writing in elementary school. He would write stories and poems with the intention of making his classmates laugh. Twenty years later, he used this same technique to write his first kid's book.

Over the years, Lee has worked a lot of different jobs - farm laborer, art gallery assistant, bartender, assistant literary agent - before settling on the two jobs he currently holds: writer and freelance translator. He now lives in Brooklyn with his wife and two cats.
