Carrie Gallasch is an award-winning picture book author and early childhood teacher from rural South Australia. Her first story, Stitches and Stuffing received a Notable award by the Children’s Book Council of Australia (CBCA) in 2018. Her latest release, Market Day was Shortlisted by the CBCA in 2023 and her new book, Wild and Free will soon be ready to roam.
 
Carrie spends her days inspiring school children to find fun and creativity in reading and writing. When not in the classroom, Carrie enjoys very good coffee and getting her hands dirty in the garden.
