Objective:
The magazine is one of the central planks of the AEU’s communication strategy to its members, and provides an opportunity to explore issues that are topical and of critical importance to public education workers across Australia. The magazine aims to create a sense of community amongst teachers in public education in Australia and strengthen the relationship between the union and its members.
Overview:
Australian Educator is distributed to AEU members (teachers, principals and education support workers) in public schools, early childhood and vocational settings throughout the country. The magazine provides essential information on issues facing teachers and education support workers in public education settings as well as providing a vehicle to share positive case studies and experiences from their work life. In addition, the union is able to showcase the value of the work it does on behalf of its members, in industrial relations, research, negotiation and advocacy, across a wide range of issues.
