Picture Books

Hardie Grant Egmont has a beautiful list of local picture books. Grandpa's Shed, Dancing With Grandma and Cooking With Grandma have cemented themselves as modern classics.

Henry the Goat is our stand-out picture book for 2011. The author, Ella Watkins is just fourteen years old. She has been drawing since she could hold a pencil, and first created the irrepressible Henry when she was eight. Henry proved to be so charming and fun that Ella was compelled to let him loose on the world. She self-published her first Henry adventure in 2008. We are thrilled to be working with Ella and the most enthusiastic goat of all time. Henry the Goat will be released January 2011.

We also have an extensive list of fantastic Egmont picture books, with titles such as The Night Pirates, and Aaaaagghh Spider!

In 2010 we acquired the Australian children's picture book company Little Hare Books, which adds an incredible backlist of popular picture book titles to our already impressive range. For more information on Little Hare Books, please click here
