'Pardiz' is a personal journey into Manuela Darling-Gansser's "paradise past". Having lived in Iran for the first nine years of her life, she returned as an adult to reconnect with the country she remembered so fondly. Her book is a celebration of that time; a compilation of memories, stories and beautiful recipes that underline the depth and broad appeal of this great and enduring food culture.

There will be Persian food to try along with a glass of wine.

Manuela will be in conversation with Barbara Sweeney.

Barbara Sweeney is the founder and organiser of Sydney's annual Food & Words Festival. She writes about food, farmers and artisan food producers. Barbara also reviews restaurants, judges regional food competitions and runs food events
